Kim Delaney is an American actress who is best known for playing Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won the Emmy Award. Her other credits include her roles in the drama series All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was the sole daughter of a United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a housewife. She grew up within a household which included four brothers.
