Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not for a job or a hobby, but as an opportunity to develop. In the end, she started writing her own music. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as being her influences. When her mother told her that her songs could not only help her achieve fame however, they could also help others understand their significance to the world and appreciate what can be done with the songs and her music, she was inspired to start performing publicly. The mother of her child suggested that she sing her songs in public so that people can see the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. This was not known by her family until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. Aurora claims she loves writing music. She believes that music can help any person feel better.
